Small Town Sandlot

The apparition of these faces in the crowd:
Petals on a wet, black bough.

— Ezra Pound

Small Town Sandlot

There’s something unique about the local "sandlot" baseball field. It may lack the glamour of big leagues, but it’s a place where big dreams are born. Almost every small town in America has some version of a baseball field, and I’ve always been drawn to the ones that are quietly fading with time. There’s something beautiful in discovering these forgotten places.
