Horizontal Landscapes

Certain moments in the creative process, moments when I am really seeing, are weirdly expansive, and I develop a hyper-attuned visual awareness, like the aura-ringed optical field before a migraine. Radiance coalesces about the landscape, rich in possibility, supercharged with something electric, insistent. Time slows down, becomes ecstatic

Horizontal Landscapes

I just love photographing landscapes, whether they are land, sea, urban or suburban. In this series, I photographed the horizon line toward the bottom of the image in order to dramatize the sky. Photographing the horizon at the bottom quarter of the image gives the landscape a greater sense of majesty, of awe. I also wanted this series to have a similar look design wise. The landscapes were diverse in the their subject matter but had a cohesive sense as a series.
